Many people don’t know that roller figure skaters take proficiency tests just like our sister sport on ice…. I am proud to announce that TeamSk8 kids, aged 7 to 15, just passed 41 Bronze and Silver freestyle, American dance, figure and loop Roller Skating Association proficiency tests.

Special thanks to judges Johanna Barycz, Joyce Jarnick, Phyllis Tomlinson and Dennis Welsh – who represent several Michigan judges panels – for running such an efficient test center for our team. Hugs to all the skaters who worked so hard.
