Family Sk8 Lessons

Our Brighton/Farmington Family Skate Group Needs More Young Skaters

The Saturday AM Family Sk8 Adventure was discontinued. BUT the fun continues. You can attend the family friendly public sessions at Rollerama/Zap Zone and Bonaventure Family Skating Center on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and evening and Sunday afternoon. Rollerama also has a Tuesday evening public skate. Check Google for current session times.

If you’re a parent, grandparent or guardian who wants your little ones age 3 or older (or even tweens and teens) to have supervised fun and learn to skate too, try these Brighton/Farmington Skate Meetup activities with TeamSk8.com. Our goal is to help every family learn to enjoy safe roller skating and make new friends.

There are 4 ways to learn to have supervised fun on skates with TeamSk8:

1. MONDAY evening at Rollerama Family Skating Center in Brighton, MI – Private, Semi-Private or Group Beginner Lessons by appointment only from 3pm-8pm. Inline or quad rental skates are included with each beginner lesson. Intermediate and Advanced skaters must have their own quad or inline artistic skates. Join in advance with Coach Carlesa Williams via email teamsk8@ymail.com.

2. SATURDAY morning at Bonaventure Family Skating Center in Farmington Hills, MI – TeamSk8 practice/group activities from 7am-12noon for Star Program and USA Roller Sports skaters at any level by appointment with Coach Carlesa in advance via email teamsk8@ymail.com. Skates and an annual USA Roller Sports Star Program ($15 per year) or Limited annual ($50 per year) membership required plus weekly activity fees.

3.  SUNDAY morning at Rollerama Family Skating Center in Brighton, MI – TeamSk8 practice/group activities from 7am-12noon for Star Program skaters at any level by appointment with Coach Carlesa in advance via email teamsk8@ymail.com. Skates and an annual USA Roller Sports Star Program ($15 per year) or Limited annual ($50 per year) membership required plus weekly activity fees.

4. Individual skaters or groups of any age who are interested in joining TeamSk8 will have access to all of our rink practice times, online fitness training and events. Contact Coach Carlesa in advance via email teamsk8@ymail.com for a tryout. Skates, team practice wear and USA Roller Sports Limited annual ($50 per year) membership required. Those interested in competition can get a competitive membership.

All activities are subject to cancellation for rink private bookings and special events.

Skaters who are interested in joining the team will have access to all practice times. Skates, practice wear and USA Roller Sports Limited annual ($50 per year) membership required.

Enjoy music, make friends and get help with your little skaters as needed. We encourage the same Star Program basic skills taught in our classes for those who want them. Saturday Star Program kids can get a TeamSk8 Jr. Club Membership and T-Shirt and are invited to participate in some Club activities. Ask for details when you come to skate.
